What to Expect at Your First Visit
We want your first visit to Cedars Family Dental to feel comfortable, organized, and productive from the very beginning.
After scheduling your appointment, we’ll send your new patient forms directly to you to complete and return before your visit. Having this information ahead of time gives our team an opportunity to prepare for your individual needs—whether that means arranging special accommodations, determining if medical clearance may be needed, or reviewing any medications or health considerations that could affect your dental care.
Your first visit will typically include a comprehensive dental examination along with any necessary X-rays recommended by the doctor. This allows us to thoroughly evaluate your oral health while also taking the time to discuss any concerns, symptoms, or goals you may have. Your doctor or hygienist will also perform a periodontal evaluation to assess the health of your gums and the supporting structures around your teeth.
Once your examination, X-rays, and periodontal evaluation are complete, Dr. Allie Barbosa will review the findings with you and discuss any recommended treatment. We want you to understand your options and feel comfortable asking questions before making decisions about your care.
If treatment is recommended, our treatment coordinator can provide you with a written treatment plan, including an estimate of your anticipated out-of-pocket costs. If you’d like some flexibility in managing the cost of care, we also offer multiple financing and payment options and would be happy to discuss what may work best for you.
