Implant-Supported Dentures & Full-Arch Restorations

For patients who are missing—or expect to lose—many or all of their teeth, dental implants can provide significantly more support and stability than traditional dentures. Implant-supported restorations are designed to restore your smile while helping you feel more confident eating, speaking, and going about everyday life.

There are both fixed and removable implant-supported options, and each has its own advantages.

Fixed implant-supported restorations, sometimes referred to as a hybrid denture, All-on-4, or All-on-6, are secured to dental implants and are not removed by the patient each day. They offer a stable, natural-feeling solution for patients who would prefer their replacement teeth to remain in place. These restorations still require excellent home care and routine professional maintenance and may periodically need to be removed by your dental team for more thorough cleaning or service.

Removable implant-supported dentures attach securely to dental implants but can be taken out at home for cleaning. The implants provide considerably more stability and retention than a traditional denture while the removable design can make hygiene, maintenance, and future repairs easier.

There is no single solution that is right for everyone. Dr. Barbosa will talk with you about your goals for comfort, function, appearance, maintenance, and long-term care to determine which options may be appropriate for you.
