Meet Dr. Allie Barbosa

Plainville Dentist Dr. Allie Barbosa, DMD

About Dr. Allie Barbosa

Dr. Allie Barbosa is a Massachusetts native and originally from Reading. She attended Boston University for undergrad and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She graduated from Tufts in 2014 Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honors Society. She completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the VA Medical Center in Providence, RI in 2015.

After completing her residency Dr. Barbosa worked in private practice for over ten years before coming to Cedars. The benefits of being in the same practice for so many years taught her some invaluable knowledge and experience: continuity of care, successes and failures of treatment, the importance of your team, the joys of having long term relationships with patients, and how a dental practice can continually change, grow and adapt.

Continuing education is a priority to Dr. Barbosa and she is regularly taking courses to stay current with the evolving dental techniques and technology. This ongoing education allows her to provide patients with modern, evidence-based treatment while maintaining the highest levels of clinical care.

Dr. Barbosa looks forward to continuing Dr. Nicole Salamy’s legacy here at Cedars Family Dental and is grateful for the privilege given to her to provide its patients with the compassionate care they deserve. She hopes to gain your trust as your provider and be your dentist for years to come.

Her Life Outside of Dentistry

When not practicing dentistry you will find her with her family. Dr. Barbosa lives in Sharon with her husband and two young children. She takes advantage of living in Sharon, spending time at the lake fishing, swimming, grilling and attending as many community events with her kids as possible. She is her daughter’s Daisy Girl Scout Troop leader and volunteers with the organization. Her other hobbies are gardening, crafting & participating in Sharon’s Triathlon with friends!

A Note About the Practice

Cedars Family Dental entered a new chapter in May 2026, when Dr. Allie Barbosa took over the practice from Dr. Nicole Salamy. For our longtime patients, you can expect the same familiar office and team, and your records remain right here with us. We are grateful to continue caring for you and your family and Dr. Barbosa looks forward to welcoming you at your next visit.
